PROPAK VIETNAM - The Largest and Most International Processing and Packaging Exhibition in Vietnam Returns in March

See new processing and packaging technology in action, connect with current suppliers, source for potential partners and get recharged for the year ahead.

Ho Chi Minh City, 20 December 2016 – Organized by UBM VES and in partnership with VCCI Exhibition Service, PROPAK VIETNAM 2017, the industry-leading processing and packaging exhibition in Vietnam, is set to return from 21 – 23 March 2017 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), with the largest and most international range of technology and integrated solutions catering to all segments of the processing and packaging industry.

Since its inception in 2003, PROPAK VIETNAM has grown steadily in stature and prestige to become the valuable and opportune platform for industry players to build up their brands, forge new partnerships and close fruitful business deals. Into its 12th edition, the comprehensive event marks the biggest scale in its history, taking over 8,800 square meters of exhibition space, accounting for 44% increase compared to the last edition.

The inaugural three-day staging will once again bring together many industry leaders and professionals working in the high-value sectors of processing and packaging. More than 380 participating companies from 28 countries and regions have registered so far, looking to partner with and supply technology to local manufacturers, distributors and retailers across the region.

PROPAK VIETNAM 2017 continues to enjoy the strong support of international trade bodies and government agencies, bringing a total of 8 international group pavilions to the show which are from Italy, Germany, China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. An impressive number of major international brands have also confirmed their return to the event, including Bericap, Bosch Rexroth, Chumpower, DKSH, Flowcrete, Fuji, Heat and Control, Ishida, Joiepack Industrial, MNB Technologies, Mekong Technology, Phu Loc Trading & Services, Rickermann, Song Song, Uchida, amongst others.

High caliber machinery, applications and systems catering to the industry demand will be on display, with Food Processing & Packaging; Pharmaceutical Processing & Packaging; Bottling & Beverage Technology; Canning Technology; Barcoding, Printing & Labeling; Filling Machinery and Systems; Food Safety & Hygiene Technology commanding the majority of the exhibits.

PROPAK VIETNAM has regularly attracted high-quality visitors from major brands across all vertical markets: beer, beverage, cosmetics, dairy, food, household chemicals, industrial and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Following significant attendance in the previous editions, it is anticipated that over 8,000 trade visitors from 43 countries and regions will attend the event, making it one of the largest and most comprehensive editions in years.

Valuable Knowledge Gleaned From Technical Seminars

The conference program held alongside PROPAK VIETNAM provides an ultimate knowledge platform which, over the years, has become the definitive gathering of technical experts and cross-industry leaders, equipping participants with ample networking opportunities, critical business insights and lively debates on the most topical issues facing the processing and packaging sectors in Vietnam. 

The 2017 edition of PROPAK VIETNAM is once again well equipped with the specially crafted conferences and seminars, hosted by various industry associations in Vietnam and beyond. In particular, Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST) will be organizing an “ASEAN Food Conference”, pre-conference and seminar program at PROPAK VIETNAM 2017. Supported by Federation of International Food Science and Technology Associations (FIFSTA) and International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFOST), this program will be a one day symposium geared towards food safety education and training where several international experts invited to discuss the topics. The program will be on the 22nd March 2017, followed by the FIFSTA and IUFOST meeting on the 23rd March 2017.

The VAFOST Symposium at PROPAK VIETNAM 2017 will also include topics on healthy food and drink, and traditional rice products – on aspects of safety, quality and commercial production.

PROPAK VIETNAM 2016 - A flashback to a successful year

The last edition of PROPAK VIETNAM garnered the attention of more than 7,200 trade visitors and 351 exhibitors from 32 countries/ regions, plus a wealth of positive feedback and satisfaction, further solidifying itself as one of the most successful editions so far.

208 buyer delegations from major local and regional establishments also made their way to attend the event, such as Acecook Vietnam, Ajinomoto Vietnam, Bibica, Dalat Milk, New Viet Dairy, Pepsico, Runam Coffee, Sapporo Vietnam, Shiseido Vietnam, Unilever Vietnam, Vifon, Vinamilk, to name a few. Most of the visitors were thrilled to be able to tap the expertise and form business relationships with a myriad of international exhibitors. 93% of visitors being surveyed were satisfied with the overall experience at PROPAK VIETNAM 2016, of which 91% were eager to attend the next edition in 2017.

Two educational seminars held alongside the 2016 edition strongly brought together leading industry experts speaking on a number of key and topical issues. Particularly, the “Food Safety, Processing and Packaging innovations” conference, organized by the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST), brought to light new development surrounding the food processing and packaging industry, including food safety management systems, ionized water technologies and new trend in package design. VINATEST Association, on the other hand, hosted the seminar entitled “Trace chemicals monitoring, control and removal techniques in water used in food processing industry”, continuing to provide in-depth information concerning all the aspects of the water used in the food processing industry in Vietnam.
